Glock in good spirits following op
Timo Glock is in good spirits after being discharged from hospital following an operation to remove his appendix.
The Virgin Racing driver had suffered a sudden case of appendicitis and went into hospital to have surgery this week.
I'm very happy about how the operation went, and about my quick recovery, it's a shame that I'll probably miss the tests in Barcelona.' Glock told Autosport Magazine.
Team mate Jerome d'Ambrosio is expected to step in and complete all four days of testing at Barcelona between March 8th to 11th.
Glock should have no issues returning in time for the opening race of the 2011 season in Australia and the German hopes to gain an advantage following his operation!
'the guys in Australia are going to have to watch out: without an appendix I'm certain to be faster - I mean, it must have weighed a few grams at least!'
