Four way battle for Pole?
Qualifying in Malaysia could prove to be exciting, with both Red Bull drivers and both McLaren drivers looking evenly matched on low fuel runs around the Sepang track.
Red Bull’s Mark Webber took the top spot on the timing sheets on Friday, but he was beaten by McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton in Saturday’s third practice session.
Hamilton set a time of 1minute 36.340seconds towards the final stages of third practice on soft tyres in his McLaren, Mark Webber was just 0.290seconds behind, with Jenson Button, Nick Heidfeld, Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso and Vitaly Petrov all within a second.
Hispania look to be in real danger of not getting within the 107% again, with both drivers being well off the pace.
Vitantonio Liuzzi was 6.807seconds off the pace, with Narain Karthikeyan a further two tenths of a second further back. They will need to improve their performance in the first qualifying section to make the grid on Sunday.
