Rosberg to attend DTM in Hockenheim
Hockenheim hosts the opening round of the DTM this weekend and Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg will be in attendance.
“As a young driver, I grew up around the DTM and I know that it’s a fantastic series with a unique atmosphere and great crowds,” Mercedes’ Nico Rosberg was quoted by Formula1.com.
Rosberg will be driving a AMG Mercedes C-Class while acting as a chauffeur to a number of special guests to the opening round of the DTM at Hockenheim.
'I’ll be treating it with respect on my first drive but I’m also looking forward to seeing what it can do, and to discovering the differences compared to my Formula One car.”
Former Formula One drivers David Coulthard and Ralf Schumacher will be racing for another season in the highly regarding Touring Car series, while defending champion Paul di Resta has obviously moved on from the series and into F1 with Force India.
Last seasons runner-up was British driver Gary Paffett who is test driver for McLaren, he will be hoping to go one better this season and claim his second DTM title.
The DTM will be shown on ESPN at 4pm on Sunday.
