Hamilton delight at qualifying form

Lewis Hamilton's victory at the Belgian Grand Prix was his sixth victory of the season.

The priority for every driver is obviously his form on race day and Hamilton's victory extended his lead in the 2015 Formula One World Championship title battle to 28 points clear of Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg and 67 points ahead of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel.

However, to put yourself in the best position on a Sunday you also have to perform on a Saturday and this is where Hamilton has excelled this season.

'To come away from the best holiday I have ever had and win was fantastic. To translate pole positions into wins is what I want to do,' he told the BBC.

His pole position at Spa was his tenth of the season from the opening eleven races, showing dominance over his team-mate.

It also means that Hamilton has already wrapped up the pole trophy, not that that award particularly impresses Hamilton as the only prize on the two-time F1 champs mind is a third title.

'The pole trophy is not particularly exciting but getting poles is definitely a great thing,

'Naturally, winning the World Championship is the goal. I would give up everything else, all the poles, the pole position trophy, for the World Championship so that's really the goal.

'But I'm really happy with how the qualifying has gone this year.
