'If It's F1, It's Vital'

Vettel chasing perfection

The defending Formula One World champion may have won six of the first nine races of the season and finished second in the races he didn't win, but Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has urged his team to regain its focus following the British Grand Prix.

Ferrari and Fernando Alonso won their first race of the season at Silverstone, joining McLaren pair Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton as the fourth different winner this season.

Alonso was the class of the field and had the Red Bull team well beaten, something that Vettel didn't like.

'It was a lesson to learn, It is now up to us to refocus and to come back stronger in the next two races. Vettel told the Red Bull Official Website.

'It is a very important time now for the championship.'

'It was a tough race and Ferrari were very quick, Fernando in particular, We need to accept this and to understand you get beaten. We are in a good position still but we need to keep working otherwise the others will get too close for our liking.'

Vettel's words smack of a driver chasing perfection, his second place finish actually extended his lead in the 2011 F1 Drivers championship standings.

The German driver now leads Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber by 80-points, while he holds a 92-point lead over Fernando Alonso in third place. Realistically (especially considering Webber doesn't appear to be allowed to race Vettel), that lead is insurmountable.

In the Constructors standings, Red Bull have amassed 328-points to-date, with McLaren on 218-points and Ferrari on 164-points, which means it looks likely that both Vettel and Red Bull are set to become double World champions.

No question about who's going to win both championships but Vetell is right to tell his team to remain focused
