Barrichello wants more openess from Williams

The oldest man in Formula One Rubens Barrichello [ok oldest driver] wants to continue driving in 2012.

And if comments from Williams chairman Adam Parr are anything to go by, it looks likely that Rubens will continue with Williams next season when the unite with Renault to try and recreate the glory days of the 1990's.

But while that should come as good news for the Brazilian driver, Barrichello wasn't too impressed to hear about the news from Autosport Magazine reporter Jonathan Noble.

When asked by Autosport if the Williams team would retain both Barrichello and Maldonado for the 2012 season, Parr said: 'Yes. I think that is vastly the most likely outcome.'.

But when told of Parr's comments, Barrichello added: 'I wish he said that to me. I still haven't heard that.'

He continued: 'Ideally I would love to stay here, but I would love them to be an open thing. And if they are happy with the drivers they should talk to the drivers, not to the press.'

Barrichello made his debut in Formula One in the South African Grand Prix on March 14th 1993.

To-date he has raced in over 300 Formula One races, finished on the podium 68 times and won 11 times.
