Hamilton aims to keep momentum

Lewis Hamilton won McLaren's third race of the season last weekend in Germany.

It was the 2008 Formula One World Champion's second win of the season and with McLaren completely counted out of contention in the build up to the race, Hamilton was clearly delighted with the result and ranked it highly amongst his 16 career wins.

'I think every win is special but I think the emotion and all the energy the team put into the car and the effort they have put in… when we don’t see results like this it slowly builds up, so when you finally hit the sweet-spot and get it, I think it is just ever better. It just couldn’t feel any better.' Hamilton told formula1.com immediately after the race in Germany.

Looking ahead to the Hungarian Grand Prix, Formula One barely has enough time to regain it's breath with the two races back-to-back.

But that's a bonus for Hamilton who wants to strike while McLaren are on good form.

“After my win at the Nurburgring on Sunday, the Hungarian Grand Prix can’t come soon enough. The team performed brilliantly last weekend and I want to maintain that momentum at the Hungaroring.

“There wasn’t much between McLaren, Ferrari and Red Bull in Germany. It’s going to be fascinating to see which team holds the advantage next weekend.”

The championship realistically is probably already wrapped up by Vettel and the constructors championship can only be heading back to Red Bull considering the massive points lead they pulled out over the first half of the season.

However the remainder of the 2011 championship is fascinating, with three teams all competing for the race wins.

So how do our VF1 users see it going this Sunday? Well so far Lewis Hamilton is our favourite with Sebastian Vettel, Fernando Alonso , Jenson Button and Mark Webber all close behind.
