'If It's F1, It's Vital'
Trulli remains philosophical
Team Lotus veteran driver Jarno Trulli is taking a philosophical approach to the second half of the 2011 season and his future in Formula One.
The 37-year-old driver should pass 250 Formula One starts this season, assuming that he will continue in the Lotus car ahead of reserve driver Karun Chandhok.
The Italian driver has struggled with the Team Lotus car this season, complaining about the power steering system used by the team.
Chandhok replaced Trulli for the German Grand Prix, but with a new power steering system fitted to the car in Hungary Trulli returned to the car and was happier, despite having to retire on lap 17 with a water leak.
But with a season best finish of 13th in Australia and Monaco, Trulli's future with the team looks in doubt.
'As I always say, I'm not panicking about my future because first I have to be quick and second I have to be motivated,' Trulli said to Autosport Magazine.
'So now it all looks very different for me, everything looks brighter. I'm not really looking at the future, now I want to build up from now, and whatever will be, will be.
'Some announcement will be done probably in the next weeks, but at the moment I'm happy with the way it is and I just want to focus on my job and the team and my results. I want to enjoy what I'm doing because I wasn't enjoying it much before.'
