'If It's F1, It's Vital'
Is Alonso the best?
Over the past week VitalF1.com users have been voting for who they believe is the best driver of this generation.
The voting was tight from the beginning, with users torn between Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel who won the Formula One World Championship in 2010 and is just one-point away from claiming the title for 2011, McLaren's Jenson Button who won his F1 title in 2009 in a Brawn GP car, team-mate Lewis Hamilton who won the title in 2008 or Ferrari's Fernando Alonso who is a former two-time F1 champion from 2005 and 2006 when he drove for Renault.
With the poll closing over the weekend, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso took 42% of the vote with Lewis Hamilton taking 22% and the current champ Sebastian Vettel with 17%.
If you didn't vote then why not join the debate over on the VitalF1.com forum where the debate unsurprisingly has evolved onto whether any of the current drivers would mix it with the all-time greats of Formula One.
