'If It's F1, It's Vital'
Hamilton ends Red Bull qualifying run
For the first time this season a Red Bull car will not be in pole position on a race day.
Lewis Hamilton's sensation lap in Korea this morning was too fast, even for the newly crowned double world champion Sebastian Vettel who was 0.222 seconds slower than Hamilton's pole position time of 1 minute 35.820seconds.
Hamilton's McLaren team-mate Jenson Button had threatened to lock out the front-row for McLaren, however Vettel's second time pipped him by 0.084 seconds.
Mark Webber settled for fourth, choosing not to complete his second attempt at pole, while the Ferrari's of Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso will start fifth and sixth (with Massa out-qualifying Alonso for the second week running).
Nico Rosberg was almost two seconds slower than Hamilton in seventh, while Petrov in the Renault, was nearly two and a half seconds slower.
Pirelli will not be happy again with both Force India's opting not to run in Q3 in a bid to save tyres. Paul di Resta will start ninth with Sutil tenth.
At the back end of the grid Rubens Barrichello was the unfortunate man to join the newbie teams in getting eliminated in Q1, while Daniel Ricciardo was unable to set a time in the HRT for mechanical reasons.
