'If It's F1, It's Vital'
Vettel predicts close championship race
Double Formula One World Champion Sebastian Vettel believes that 2012 will offer a tight fight for the championship.
The German driver who will be hoping to claim his third consecutive crown believes the regulation restrictions will close the gap on the Formula One grid creating a very open championship.
Which will be great for us, the spectators, who all have our own favourites and probably want to see Red Bull have some competition this season, but not so great for the man with the target on his back.
'Looking at the cars, there's not much room we have left to play with for designers and to find something extra, The last two years we have had two big things taken away; the double diffusers, plus, for this year, the system around the exhaust.' the Red Bull driver told Autosport Magazine.
'So we are missing that and therefore I think it's difficult to really create a difference. Obviously we hope our car is better than all the others but it will be difficult. I think the cars will be fairly similar, and the gaps will be even closer than they have been.
'I think it will be very, very tight this year and anything else would be a surprise to be honest.'
