2012 - Race 4 - Bahrain

Formula One is due to return to Bahrain for the fourth race of the 2012 Formula One World Championship.

The opening race of the 2011 Formula One season was due to be held in Bahrain, but following political unrest in the region the event was at first postponed and eventually cancelled.

The first race in Bahrain was won by Michael Schumacher in 2004.

Since then, Fernando Alonso has become the most successful driver around the Sakhir based track, winning on three occasions.
